I was willing to give CCP the benefit of the doubt about Incarna but now my worst fears have been realised.
It seems I was right CCP have lost their way and are more interested in using Eve and its playerbase to pay for the development of their other "projects" rather than provide the content and fixes that the upgrades are supposed to provide.
Walking in stations and Character generator tool have nothing to do with "Internet Spaceships" and seems more about Dust 514 and WOD MMO development via the back door Carbon technology says it all.
What were CCP thinking about with Turret animations, most of the time I have all graphic effects off to reduce lag, and all fleet fights you are zoomed out anyway, and if you are in small gang pvp the last thing you are doing is watching ôcoolö turret animations.
I donÆt want to play ôDress Up in spaceö but have nothing against those that do, however introducing an MT store to enable it breaks the whole spirit of EveÆs subscription model. I am paying you monthly in return you give free upgrades to your game. Having part of the ôfreeö upgrade be an MT store feels like I am paying you to mug me.
However at your prices and conversion rates I can safely say you wont be getting an Aurum from me, even if I had been interested in the first place. As to the content why are female clothes more expensive in the store than male ones and in an egalitarian future why do we have a distinction anyway. As to prices were you Drunk ? Monocles for 12000 Aurum on a 3500 plex conversion rate, at nearly 4 plex per monocle thatÆs around 1.6b isk or nearly $60 how many do you think are going to sell. I really hope Aurum conversions are zero and that a biz dev guy (hopefully the 3rd pp licence $99 one) has to go and tell Hilmar that.
This Noble Exchange seems more about creating a mechanism in game for aquiring payments, following your Dust 514 PS3 announcement and the fact that you have said Dust will be free after an initial payment to play the game. Somehow I donÆt think Dust 514 store will be selling cosmetic dress up items, I think it will be free ôpointy stickö or $40 Plasma Gun.
CCP you are alienating your player base, some of the things you are proposing for walking in stations have some potential, but not if we have to pay for them in or via the Noble Exchange.
